We would like to share a little about us, our life journey and how we ended up with Australia's best traditional American smokehouse located on the Central Coast.
After spending ten years in the United States opening and managing traditional American Steakhouses (with a handful of ex NFL players), Logan Dart returned to the Central Coast, bringing with him his love of American cuisine.
First, Logan started what is now the Central Coasts #1 Cafe, Fahrenheit Cafe. This cafe is well regarded for its beautiful culmination of ambiance and fresh flavours,
a place where comfort food is happily served with a smile, where the customer has control over the menu - all this makes Fahrenheit Cafe a "not so secret" cozy meeting spot for locals (and sometimes the odd politician).
Executive Chef Lawrence Hobby joined the team late 2018 and brought with him a few ideas of his own… Following upcoming trends while keeping with the American theme now firmly established at Fahrenheit Café, Lawrence proposed an idea for venue number two and boy did we grab the bull by both horns as F220 Smokehouse, our Texas ranch inspired restaurant with an American whisky bar to match, proudly opened it’s doors on 1st July 2019!
How IT STARTED

Some people ask us what is a Smokehouse and/or what does it mean to smoke meats? A Smokehouse is the name of a room or a place (in our case.. our restaurant and private indoor smoking room) where meats are cured or cooked by using smoke.
To smoke meats generally refers to the flavouring, colouring and slow cooking of the meat, with an intentional addition of different woods and the flavours that derive from the process, in our case Apple, Cherry, Plum and Hickory.
So what can you smoke in a giant four metre smoker like ours? Basically anything! Currently we smoke a variety of meats including brisket, steak, pork belly, chicken, lamb, sausage and vegtables ranging from our infamous more-ish complimentary welcoming bowl of smoked sweet potato chips to our bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeño poppers and a daily selection of vegetables good enough to knock a carnivore on his rump!

With Jo our beloved Bar Manager at the helm, we keep a strong focus on American whisky whilst encompassing favourites from days gone by and brand new offerings not seen before.. we know this as we catch him constantly smoking new fruits and tasting new flavour profiles to bring you the next best thing! With a variety of great local boutique beers from Six Strings on tap and a handful of well chosen wine offerings, the Smokehouse Bar leaves little need to ever feel the need to need… if you get my drift..!
So no matter what time of day you are feeling like a friendly Fahrenheit fix, we’re likely waiting to serve you. F220 Smokehouse proudly caters to our kitchen at Fahrenheit Café, making some of those delicious offerings from F220 available for breakfast, be it in our Café Carnivore Board or morning Lion King roll with a fried egg, hashbrown, smoked bacon, pulled brisket and Texan sausage!
